Nathaniel Frith was baptised at St. Olave, Hart Street, London on 5th December 1675. He was the son of Nathaniel Frith, glazier, and Hellen(probably Eleanor Fletcher).
Nathaniel entered Trinity College, Cambridge on the 1st March 1694/5. He achieved a B.A. 1698-9 and an M.A. in 1702.
He was ordained a Deacon at Lincoln on 22nd September 1700 and a priest at Norwich in September 1701. He was curate of Great Barford, Bedfordshire in 1700 and made vicar of Hoxne in 1706.
He married Frances Bright at St. James, Bury St. Edmunds in 1703, at which time he was minister of St. James. They had 2 children, Frances, baptised 29th January 1706 and Thomas, baptised 3rd May 1707, both in Bury St. Edmunds. Unfortunately Thomas died on the 13th June 1707 and Frances died and was buried in Hoxne on the 7th June 1708. Frances, Nathaniel's wife had died earlier that year and was buried at Hoxne on the 8th February 1708.
On the 29th May 1711 Nathaniel married Anne Cator at St. James, Bury St. Edmunds.
Nathaniel died on the 2nd August 1743 and was buried at Hoxne on the 5th August. A memorial was placed in the church.
